The right time, the right place
“You can’t plan a career. You simply have to be in the right place at the right time”, says Dominik de Daniel, Chief Financial Officer of recruitment giant Adecco. In that case, he certainly seems to have a refined sense of good fortune. After an apprenticeship at Deutsche Bank and a course at Freiburg Banking Academy, he gained his first position at DIS AG, where after only six months he became part of the Board of Executives – and the youngest board member of a German Aktiengesellschaft or public limited company. When DIS was taken over by Adecco, he became Group Chief Financial Officer.
