How the future will look
Design is the language of objects, and Gesche Joost is trying to gain a better understanding of its grammar. In her doctorate – as in her degree dissertation – she combined design and rhetoric. And it is this theme which she researches today at the Deutsche Telekom Laboratories in Berlin – a creative powerhouse in which the technology and design of the future are hammered out. Aside from her research work, 31-year-old Joost is a jury member at the German National Academic Foundation, and a member of the Executive Committee of the German Association of Design Theory and Research.
