‘Lights on’ for “365 Landmarks in the Land of Ideas”
Deutsche Bank makes Germany’s potential for innovation a real experience
Germany is the “Land of Ideas” – Deutsche Bank proves this daily with the nationwide “365 Landmarks in the Land of Ideas” innovative ideas competition under the patronage of Horst Köhler, Germany's Federal President. Together with the “Germany – Land of Ideas” regional landmarks initiative, the bank has been making this competition possible in its capacity as exclusive partner since 2006. Already in its fifth year, innovative ideas conceived under the “Made in Germany” label in the fields of business, science, culture, community development and education are singled out for an award each day.

After all, innovation forms the very basis of employment, productivity and prosperity. This is particularly true of a country low in natural materials such as Germany, whose greatest resources are based in the capital and knowledge-intensive sectors. For this reason, developing and successfully implementing new ideas is very important.

Together with the "Germany – Land of Ideas” initiative, Deutsche Bank will continue in 2010 to focus the limelight on all those, who, with their expertise, dedication and passion, are exploring new paths and inspiring others in the process – a clear commitment to Deutsche Bank’s home market.

Each winner of the competition presents its ideas to the general public in the form of a self-organized event, thus bringing Germany’s creative power to life on both a large and a small scale. This has resulted in a unique network of dedicated citizens, political representatives, ground-breaking scientists and courageous companies, which is growing daily. With their dedication and entrepreneurial spirit, all these people are contributing to the “Made in Germany" mark continuing to stand for quality and precision, as well as visionary thought and ingenious products.
