Uwe Schiefer is an international winemaker: His grapevines grow on both sides of the border between Austria and Hungary. Where the iron curtain once divided Europe, first-rate wines are now created. "Wine not weapons," says Schiefer, "for me, that’s like a symbol for modernday Europe. For openness and joie de vivre." He hopes the future will bring even more cooperation – and a road to connect his vineyards.
