As a cultural historian, Iulius Armand Hondrila is usually preoccupied with the past. But Europe is very much in the present tense for him. In 1997, he met his wife in Denmark; at the moment, he is earning his doctorate in Belgium. In 2007, the couple celebrates Romania’s accession in a very special way: by reaffirming their vows in Sibiu, the European Capital of Culture 2007.
