“Germany – Land of Ideas” goes on tour

The information campaign will stop at the twelve 2006 World Cup venues

Berlin, 26th October 2005 – From 1st November until the 31st December 2005, the initiative “Germany – Land of Ideas” will be touring the twelve venues of the 2006 World Cup.
Mike de Vries, FC Deutschland Chief Executive announced this at the launch of the press conference for YOU on the exhibition grounds at the radio tower in Berlin.
“We would like to invite everybody to see themselves as the host of the 2006 World Cup and to carry this idea to the cities. At this point I would especially like to thank all our partners and the World Cup venues for helping us to perform this tour”, de Vries emphasized.
An information package was specifically designed for the tour, including information on the initiative and on other activities where people can join in and win games. A fixed team will hand out this information in central places of the 12 World Cup venues. Throughout the tour, people also have the possibility of registering as an official fan of the initiative “Germany – Land of Ideas”. FanClub Germany currently has more than 20,000 members.
